Berlin

|
I went to Berlin for my sister's 13th birthday. I don't think I have ever been with her on her birthday except for the day that she was born. It was really nice to see her again and to spent some time with her.
The timing was difficult, I had to fly out on the Saturday, but as there are only 2 flights a day out of Standsted to Berlin, I had to take the one at half past six in the morning.

There was the small matter of seeing Little Fish on tour supporting Supergrass in Berlin on Saturday evening as well :$ .

Unfortunately that meant getting up at half past three and leaving the house at four to be at the airport in time.

This is what the airport looks like at half past five in the morning!

After arriving in Berlin at about 8 o'clock, I was in desperate need of a coffee!

I don't even like coffee anymore!

On Saturday night, my mum and I made our way to the venue where Little Fish where playing. I took my camera, but wasn't sure if I would be allowed to take it into the venue. I wasn't! After Little Fish came off stage, Julia told me she had organised a pass for me and I would have been able to shoot the show. To late by then, but I had a great time singing (shouting) along to all the songs. The band sounded great on a bigger stage, especially the drums. I didn't really have any interest in Supergrass and we spent the rest of the evening at Little Fish's merch stand, chatting and drinking :) .

My mum had started on the Christmas decorations already. It fit's well with her red front room.

Looks nice doesn't it?!

Sunday was my sisters Birthday! My God has she grown, she is almost as tall as me!
She waited patiently all day for her Birthday cake and when it finally came, she couldn't blow out the candles fast enough!

I just about managed to get a shot of the cake with the candles burning.

I took some more pictures of her with her cake after the lights came back on, but she just wanted to eat her cake. I can't blame her, it was yummy!

What a little poser!

Can I eat it now?!

I flew back home on Tuesday. It was a great little break and nice to spent some time with my family back home in Germany.
