After the very fun (but not very successful) shoot I did with Run Don't Walk a couple of weeks ago, the band invited me to their rehearsal room to try again. So on Thursday I made my way to Kings Cross with a whole bunch of my gear, including my new 80cm softbox.
When I got there, the band was in full rehearsal mode, working on some new songs (which sound great btw.). I set up my lights and checked that everything was working. While I was patiently waiting, I took a couple of shots of the band doing their thing.
This is what their rehearsal room looks like and the band when they are not trying to be cool!
Time was running out and 5 minutes before they had to clear the room it was decided to "go for it".
I started off with the softbox in front the band and a smaller flash bare behind, but took the bare flash out after I took the first shot. So (apart from the first picture) all pictures have been taken with one HVL-F56AM on 1/2 power through my 80cm softbox in front of the band.
And just for a bit of fun:
Yet again, I had 5 minutes to make something work, with a bunch of guys who never stand still, stop messing around or even shut up! I think I did alright, I just wish I'd get some more time and was able to try out some of my ideas though.
