The Receeders - Kate Nash' Shouty Punk Side Project

I discovered The Receeders when I went to Offset Festival last year, where I bumped into Ryan Jarman from The Cribs. He was there to see some band or other, so I decided that if it's good enough for The Cribs, it's good enough for me.
I fell in love with The Receeders' shouty punk sound instantly, they were actually the highlight of my weekend! Two days after I saw them, I realised that the girl on bass was actually Kate Nash. To my defense, I wasn't the only one that day who didn't recognise her.

I only found out that The Receeders where playing a gig a couple of days ago and I had to pull some strings to be able to go (I was meant to be babysitting). I am so glad I did! What a great night out! And The Receeders made me smile yet again!

The lights were surprisingly good and the venue wasn't as packed out as it should have been (considering who was playing), so there was space to move around quite nicely. Even with four photographer crowding around the stage.
